I’m kind of [...] I thought and thought last night about how my voice, through this blog, could make the greatest impact to help those suffering in Haiti. I know that we are all shocked and saddened by the devastation we see reported from Haiti. One of the greatest qualities of the American people is our giving and generous spirits. [...] It is New Year’s Eve. I generally don’t like New Year’s Eve much. I think the very best New Year’s Eve I have ever had was one in my early twenties when I went to a Prince concert with my friend Tammy. Now THAT was exciting. Maybe it is a result of having WAY too much irresponsible fun in my 20s or that as a Mom, I see everything through different (panicked!) eyes. OK: let’s set the scene. I am sitting at my desk at work, looking through the files of the Museum trying to locate an image that I know I’ve seen but don’t remember in [...] Last night I was inspired. I have watched The Biggest Loser for several seasons, and for several reasons. One of the early reasons was I had alittle crush on Trainer Bob. He’s a cutie with a cute little southern twang that comes out when he’s emphatic about something. His tattoos yet clean cut look seem oxymoronic [...] Okay, so yesterday I told you how I had received another sign that I knew was meant only for me. I still am not certain what it actually means, but I just know that my Mom is trying to show me something… There’s this song… a song I know as well as I know my own [...] “i love you, a hug around the neck… about you… Do you believe in signs? Has something ever happened to you that stopped you dead [...] Immediately after the car passed me, I came upon them. Where the car had JUST been, stood two of the most beautiful, majestic, 8+ pointed bucks in the road, nonchalantely nibbling at nothing. They could not have been there a fraction of a second beforehand, for there had been a car in that lane! They were grazing in a very relaxed manner as if nothing could scare or spook them. I instantly slammed on the brakes and skidded to a stop, wondering how my very thoughts had become reality in a fraction of a second. GOD WINK?  |
