Photos on a Friday

Almost anything is cannon fodder for a great photo. Well, that is my philosophy at least. I tote my camera with me most everywhere and take zillions of photos. Over the past few years of taking lots and lots of photos (and I am downplaying the ‘lots’, I take more than a papparazzi), I have started to acquire what I call a 6th sense for photography…
Sometimes, a photo just feels right as I take it.
Does that make any sense at all???? It is almost as if I already know that it is going to be a keeper.
Yesterday, my son and I went on a little walk after work to take pictures of these guys. The two sets of twins… unfortunately, they were under the covered arena and with so much light coming in from under the rooftop, my poor camera couldn’t adjust well in that lighting. And I couldn’t get closer to the babies without their Momma charging me… so, this is what you get…
this is the identical pair. I know you can’t see them much, just count all the legs…
and this is the fraternal pair, one red, one black…
So, after our jaunt to see the babies, we walked to the lake. All in all, we walked about 2 miles. It was about 75 degrees and windy, and we were excited to be outside in the warm winter air, noticing the green grass starting to poke out of the ground and small buds on the trees. The worst is about over for winter in Texas, I think (I hope)…
I just want to stress to you the importance of taking your camera everywhere. You just never know what you might capture. Take lots of photos. Take photos in the sun, away from the sun, play with angles, play with your subject matter. Take unposed photos. Sit on the ground and take your photos, or climb a fence… look at your life from a different perspective. There is beauty all around you! Capture it!
I just loved the colors in this shot looking out at a pasture
I took a shot of his back looking over the lake… I liked it, do you?
Capture your moments, even if they aren’t monumental events. They are still moments worth capturing and a good representation of your days.
Happy clicking!
Have a great weekend-
