A Fabulous Farewell and a Smart Re-Invention-

Yesterday I pulled the plug on the Fab Farm website. It is no longer.

Don’t be sad, I can always re-invent it, all of the hours I spent learning Site Builder and working to make that site just so, are not lost forever. I still have the files and if I ever want them, they’re there. The problem has been that I am paying each month for a website that has been doing next to nothing.

Let Her Buck

When Fab Farm was at its height (a moment in time), the website seemed like it would keep growing and growing, growing into BwhoUR and so much more. The problem became that there were zillions of ideas but not enough man power or hours in the day to even begin to attack them. I sold lots and lots of shirts, but the truth is, the website helped some, but the real selling was by reaching out to the people myself. I mostly sold shirts in and around the Central Texas area and mainly wholesale, to little boutiques and fairs, and stuff like that.

So I took it down. Saving myself the 11 bucks a month that I always thought was so little, but really adds up over time when you’re not selling anything to offset the cost!more than just a hat rack!

I am not sad about taking down the website, in fact, its a relief. When I designed the Fab Farm website, I had very little going on in my life, I was depressed and unhappy with so much around me. Fab Farm pulled me out of that. The building of Fab Farm and the hours and hours spent with the website (I designed it when we were still on dialup here at the ranch!) really helped to pull me out of a funk that I had been in since my Mom died. For that reason alone, it was a very successful endeavor.

Just because the Fab Farm site is no longer doesn’t mean that Fab Farm is gone. Fab Farm will now reside here under the Fab Farm tab, with links to buy at my cafepress store, much like we did before. Everything that was available before will still be available, it just won’t be housed under a separate address, but here under the caseyroon.com umbrella!

Cheers to Reinvention!
